The Quest For The Lost Amulets

When I heard about the quest for the lost Amulets,
I didn't know that if I went on the quest
that I would suffer a lot of danger.
If I knew this I wouldn't be here, in the Valley
of the Kings which is in Egypt.

I crept down the gloomy,rock stairs.
Once I got to the bottom of the sandy stairs,
I saw a stone door ahead of me.
The door was covered in hieroglyphs.

I started to walk closer to the door,
but I walked slowly.
Whilst I was walking towards the door,
I searched for some booby traps.
Just then I stepped on a stone panel,
which activated a deadly trap.
Metal spikes started
closing in on me.

There wasn't enough time, then I started to
panic and hurried to the door.
In about three seconds I would be dead.
I pushed the door but they wouldn't budge.
I tried again with all the force I had.

Now the spiked walls were absolutely close
to stabbing holes in my body.

The door started to move slowly,but that wasn't.
I pushed with all the power I had.
A lot of sweat was trickling down my forehead quickly.

The door finally opened and I fell into a chamber.

That must have been a miracle!
I was spared by God.

I then got up on my sweaty feet and
looked around the dark chamber.
Now I was very careful after that killer trap.
My eyes swivelled round to check for any traps.

I then spotted a statue.
I blinked and looked at the statue carefully,
it was a statue of a jackal headed guard.

The eyes on the statue keep on staring like
he was focusing on me.
I didn't like the creepy statue at all.

Suddenly,
I heard some footsteps,
the sound started to increase.
I turned around to find the statue walking
towards me quickly.

Not only that it was holding a sword with a
very long, silver blade.
I started to back away quickly and eventually I
started to run as fast as my legs would take me.

The spiked walls which nearly killed me took
a lot of energy out of my body.
I looked back and
saw the statue
right behind me.

The statue lifted the sword slowly and
brought it down with a lot of force.

Luckily I had dodged it and survived.

My heart was thumping like echoing drums
and sweat rolled down my forehead like
the sweat were racing.

I had to find something which could smash the statue.
I looked around the dark place, then spotted something shiny.
I looked carefully and saw it was a gold statue of Osiris.

I heard footsteps, then turned my head around quickly and saw that
the statue was getting closer to me.
Quickly, I got on my feet and ran to the Osiris statue.

As the Jackal-headed statue came closer and closer,
I pushed the Osiris statue and it fell on the statue with a loud CRASH!

I searched for a door which would get me into the second chamber.
After a little while I found the door.
I walked towards it slowly and pushed it forwards gently.
It opened easily.

"Phew, that was easy," I sighed as sweat trickled down my forehead.
I looked at the statue of cobras and then I looked around the chamber.
In this bright chamber
was a massive pile of gold.

I wasn't so interested in the shiny gold.
I was more interested in the Speed Amulet I was staring at.
That meant I was so close to getting the amulet!

The bad thing was, I didn't notice all the panels on the ground
which would activate a lot of deadly traps.
I walked towards the Speed Amulet and accidentally stepped on the panel,
which made the cobra statues shoot poison needles out of their mouths.
The needles went everywhere
and
I ran away like a coward.

I ran to the pile of gold and dived into it quickly.
I then remembered that I was on the look about for any hidden traps.
The storm of poison needles had stopped, so I tried to get the amulet.

I looked on the floor and saw that it was covered in panel,so
I decided to jump over them.
I stepped backwards, next, started to run then jumped.

Uh,Oh!!
I landed on a panel!
Fireballs came out of the
Cobra Statues' mouths.

Quickly, I rolled under them, but one hit my back powerfully.
My back started to burn and I tried to take my sweater which was on fire off,
then started to run across the panels which activated holes to appear
on the wall and daggers flew out of them.

One of them made the floor move as though it had a mind of its own.
I fell over because the floor kept on going up and down.
When I fell down my body fell on a lot of panels.
The daggers nearly killed me,
but I dodged them and the floor which kept on moving around like mad
started to make massive lumps come out of it.
I got back on my aching feet and ran like mad.

Every time a lump tried to trip me over I had to jump over it.
The fireballs I dodged easily, but I got hit by a a golden dagger
and started bleeding badly.

Only a few steps till
the Speed Amulet would be mine.
My legs started to move and so did I.
